Reuters - (Reuters) - Baseball and softball are some of the safest sports for children to play, but parents and coaches should make sure young players are properly trained and keep from pushing them too hard, according to new guidelines from U.S. pediatricians. The American Academy of Pediatrics, or AAP, said in the journal Pediatrics that one of the biggest risks is that kids are stressing their arms too often and learning new skills before their bodies are ready for them. Olympics-Mexican golfer Ochoa keen for part at 2016 Rio Games

Reuters - MEXICO CITY, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Former world numberone Lorena Ochoa, who retired from the LPGA tour two years ago,wants to play a part for Mexico when golf returns to the OlympicGames after a 112-year absence at Rio de Janeiro in 2016. Reuters - WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. grand jury has indicted Canadian online gambling entrepreneur Calvin Ayre, his company and three others on charges they operated an illegal Internet gambling business in the United States, the U.S. Justice Department said on Tuesday. Ayre, who graced the Forbes magazine list of billionaires in 2006, his company Bodog Entertainment Group SA and three others were charged with running an online gambling business involving sports betting in the United States from mid-2005 until January 2012. Mariga boycotts Kenya qualifier over unpaid refund

Kenyan football officials confirmed the impasse with the Italy-based midfielder but refused any further comment. Reuters - (Reuters) - Roger Federer ranged from imperious to effective as he beat Michael Llodra 6-0 7-6 in the Dubai Championships on Tuesday but Britain's Andy Murray was made to fight for his spot in the second round. Federer raced through the first set in only 17 minutes, breaking his opponent three times in a ruthlessly dominant display of court craft. The Swiss number two seed did not drop a game until the eighth of the match, but the Frenchman dug in to force a tie break in the second set.
