Motor Racing-Daytona 500 halted by fire

Reuters - DAYTONA BEACH, Feb 27 (Reuters) - The Daytona 500 wassuspended with 40 laps remaining on Monday after a bizarreaccident when Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya's car hit a jet dryertruck causing it to burst into flames. The race was under caution when Montoya, with no rival carnear him, lost control of his vehicle and struck the back of thetruck, which is used to dry out the track and blow away debris. A giant fireball shot up from the vehicle as the fuel in thetruck ignited, though it was well away from the spectator areas. ... Full Story

Reuters - (Updates with Patrick returning) DAYTONA BEACH, Florida, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Five-timesNASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson and debutant Danica Patrick wereinvolved in a five-car crash on the second lap of the Daytona500 on Monday that put an end to their chances of glory. The NASCAR season opener, which was postponed from Sundaydue to rain, was delayed a further seven hours on Monday butwhen it finally got going under the lights there was instantdrama. Wii games don't mean kids exercise more: study

Reuters - (Reuters) - Virtual boxing, tennis and dancing along with video game systems may not be helping children meet daily exercise requirements, according to a U.S. study. Researchers from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas found that children who were given so-called active video games to play on a Nintendo Wii didn't end up logging any more moderate or vigorous physical activity than those given games they could play sitting on the couch. ...
