3 arrested in separate 'Dark Knight' incidents

This booking photograph released by the Maine State Police shows Timothy Courtois, who was arrested Sunday, July 22, 2012 on charges of having a concealed weapon and speeding on the Maine Turnpike. Courtois told authorities he was on his way to Derry, N.H., to shoot a former employer. He also said he had attended the Batman movie at the Cinemagic Theater in Saco the previous night. Found in his car were an assault weapon, four handguns and several boxes of ammunition.  A search of his home in Biddeford, Maine, revealed several additional guns, including a machine gun, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Attackers said to carve gay slurs on Nebraska woman; police probe

Reuters - OMAHA, Neb (Reuters) - Police in Lincoln, Nebraska, said Monday they are investigating a possible gay hate crime against a 33-year-old woman who was tied up in her home and had words sliced onto her body by three masked attackers. The attack prompted a vigil by about 500 people in the state's capitol Sunday. The woman told police that three masked men entered her home in south Lincoln early Sunday morning, tied her up and carved words into her body with a knife, according to a police report.
