As a married former party guy transitioning into suburban parenthood, Rogen wages war with the frat house next door in the raucous new Nicholas Stoller movie, "Neighbors," that screened this weekend as a work in progress at the SXSW Film Festival. Packed with crowd-pleasing Rogen-style jokes - including a cringe-worthy bumble with a breast pump - the war spirals into depravity between new parents Mac and Kelly Radner and the Delta Psi Beta frat next door, led by its slightly damaged president, Teddy, portrayed by Zac Efron. But as Mac and Kelly, played by Rogen and Rose Byrne, find themselves trying to shut down raging parties they would have loved to attend when they were 10 years younger, the film's biggest battle turns out to be internal. Favreau goes from 'Iron Man' to stainless steel food truck in new film Sunday, Mar 09, 2014 04:40 PM PDT By Jon Herskovitz AUSTIN, Texas (Reuters) - Actor, director and screenwriter Jon Favreau traded the high-flying super hero antics of his "Iron Man" movies for a quieter new film about a celebrated chef who quits his job at a top-flight restaurant and takes to the road in a food truck. "Chef," a small-budget, independent comedy with a big-name cast, including Iron Man veterans Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, made its premiere at the South by Southwest film festival in Austin this weekend. '300' tops 'Mr. Peabody' to capture weekend box office Sunday, Mar 09, 2014 04:29 PM PDT By Ronald Grover and Chris Michaud LOS ANGELES/NEW YORK (Reuters) - The action film "300: Rise of an Empire," battled its way to $45 million in ticket sales to win the weekend box office race, slashing its way past the animated film "Mr. Peabody & Sherman." "Mr. Peabody & Sherman," based on the "Peabody's Improbable History" segments in the 1960s animated TV show starring the characters Rocky and Bullwinkle, collected ticket sales of $32.5 million at U.S. and Canadian theaters. Last week's box office winner, "Non-Stop," was third with $15.4 million in sales. William Clay Ford Sr., grandson of pioneer automaker, dies at 88 Sunday, Mar 09, 2014 01:15 PM PDT By Paul Lienert DETROIT (Reuters) - Former Ford Motor Co executive William Clay Ford Sr., the last surviving grandchild of the automaker's founder, Henry Ford, and the longtime owner of the Detroit Lions football team, died on Sunday at age 88, the company said. Ford, who spent many of his 57 years at Ford focusing on automobile design, died of pneumonia at his home in the Detroit suburb Grosse Pointe Shores. British DJ Route 94 snatches top spot in UK music charts Sunday, Mar 09, 2014 12:10 PM PDT British DJ Route 94 hit the top of Britain's music charts on Sunday as "My Love", his collaboration with singer Jess Glynne, knocked U.S. star Pharrell Williams into second place, the Official Charts Company said. No other new entries made an impression at the top of the album chart, as British singer Ellie Goulding rose to second place, nudging last week's chart topper "Bad Blood" by Bastille down to number three.
