Donald on course for work of art on Aussie study tour

Reuters -  MELBOURNE (Reuters) - Fresh from graduating top of the class on the U.S. and European tours, Luke Donald plans to use this week's Australian Masters as a study tour of Melbourne's famed sandbelt golf courses. Donald, who studied art theory and practice at Chicago's Northwestern University, kicked off his course architecture career with a project in Vietnam earlier this year. Reuters -  (Reuters) - The New Jersey Nets moved to firm up their frontline by signing free agent forward Shelden Williams, the National Basketball Association (NBA) team said on Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 6-foot-9 Williams, taken fifth overall by Atlanta in the 2006 NBA Draft, has played for six teams in his NBA career, never living up to his lofty draft selection. Over his career with Atlanta, Sacramento, Minnesota, Boston, Denver and New York, the 28-year-old Williams has averaged 4.5 points and four rebounds per game. Hanover 96 pass flare-lighting fine on to fan

Reuters - BERLIN (Reuters) - Hanover 96 have passed on a 4,000 euro fine for flare lighting to the fan responsible for the regulation breach, the Bundesliga club said on Tuesday. Hanover were fined by the German football association (DFB) after flares were lit in the stands during their league game against Augsburg in September. Flares are banned in all German stadiums.
