The value of bets place in Nevada's 183 sports books was 5 percent higher than the $93.9 million wagered on last year's Super Bowl between the New York Giants and New England Patriots, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. About 680 suspicious matches including qualifying games for the World Cup and European Championships, and the Champions League for top European club sides, have been identified in an inquiry by European police forces, the European anti-crime agency Europol, and national prosecutors.
