Obamacare Victims Are ‘Liars,’ Says Top Democrat
Thursday, Feb 27, 2014 02:45 AM PST
Obamacare Victims Are 'Liars,' Says Top DemocratRemember "I feel your pain" - Bill Clinton's plaintive response to the woes of Middle America turned into a signature line for his administration, which became a cliché in American politics?  The biggest political attack against Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election related to the exposure of his remarks about the "47 percent" and how out of touch it made the wealthy Republican nominee to the plight of the struggling working classes.  Instead of feeling your pain, Harry Reid stood on the Senate floor to tell millions of Americans impacted by skyrocketing premiums, incompetent administration, and policy cancellations from the implementation of the Affordable Care Act that they don't really feel pain at all.   Democrats find themselves hammered by an avalanche of data and personal anecdotes that demonstrate the damage done by Obamacare.

Mexico's President Pena Nieto gives a speech during a news conference at the North American Leaders' Summit in TolucaBy Julia Symmes Cobb MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto said he is "indignant" at the United States' deportation of Mexican migrants and described U.S. lawmakers as demonstrating a "lack of conscience" in failing to pass immigration reform. In a television interview aired late on Wednesday Pena Nieto said he and U.S. President Barack Obama discussed the issue during their meeting at a North American leaders' summit held last week in Mexico. His emboldened comments to Mexico's Univision channel followed days after his administration announced it had captured Mexico's most wanted man, drug lord Joaquin "Shorty" Guzman. Pena Nieto has said any extradition of Guzman to the United States is likely to take time, underscoring the fact the drug lord still has outstanding time to serve in Mexico after a daring 2001 jail break, reportedly in a laundry cart.

For Obama and Boehner, just maybe, a way forward
Thursday, Feb 27, 2014 03:12 AM PST
Boehner & Obama in the Oval OfficeThe latest snowfall was a bigger story in Washington this week than Tuesday's private meeting between the estranged president and House speaker — their first in more than a year. Since Barack Obama recently signaled he has all but given up on legislating with Republicans, and since John Boehner has flat out said he can't trust the president, the assumption in Washington is that the chances for big legislation anytime soon are basically zero, whether the White House breaks out the good china or not.

The images at right were taken after his Feb. 22, 2014 arrest, and the photos at left were taken after his detention in 1993. The PGR used the pictures, among other tests, to determine that the man detained on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 was indeed the drug lord. Guzman was recaptured in Mexico's Pacific coast city of Mazatlan after 13 years on the run as fugitive head of the Sinaloa cartel.
