The stream of 160 degree water released on Wednesday night by the so-called Steamboat Geyser lasted for roughly 10 minutes, delighting a small number of "geyser gazers" who have waited years for such a show, Yellowstone spokesman Dan Hottle said. 'Toffs' in red trousers a turn-off for nearly half of Britons

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's class-conscious public have voiced their dislike of men in red trousers, associating them with elitism and garish buffoonery, according to a survey this week. Just under half the respondents (46 percent) to a survey released by market research firm YouGov said they don't like men in red trousers. "Gentlemen be warned. Wearing red trousers will not win you many admirers," YouGov said in an article about the sartorial study on their website. ...

Portuguese court ruling says tipsy garbage men look happier

LISBON (Reuters) - A Portuguese court has ordered a waste removal company to rehire an employee it fired for being drunk on his rounds and said tipsy trash men appear happier to members of the public. The appeals court in Porto, a northern city renowned for its port wines, also ordered the company to pay the man 14 months' worth of back wages. The three judges ruled that the waste collector had not broken any rules on alcohol consumption at work because the firm had not written any. It also rejected the use of a blood alcohol test submitted as evidence without his permission. ...

Qantas passengers hit by gastro illness on Santiago-Sydney flight

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Medical authorities in Australia treated 22 passengers on Thursday for a mystery gastric illness after they became ill on a Qantas Airways Ltd flight from Chile, Qantas said. Several ambulances and medical staff met the aircraft after it touched down in Sydney. Those affected, who media said had been vomiting, were given medical treatment on board. "A number of passengers travelling in the same group on QF28 from Santiago to Sydney became unwell with a gastro intestinal illness," Qantas said. ...
