Crews rescue man from Willamette River

PORTLAND -- Crews have rescued a 25-year-old man who slipped and fell into the Willamette River early Sunday. Portland firefighters found the man clinging to a seawall and got him a flotation ring to stay afloat. Crews on a rescue boat then pulled him from the water. The man was taken to Emanuel Hospital. The man told officials he recently arrived in Portland and was looking for a place to sleep ... |
