A judge had told the 65-year-old that he was free to return to his life in the London suburbs, after prosecutors lost their appeal against a ruling that blocked his extradition to Italy. However, he was re-arrested at his home in Uxbridge, west London, on Friday evening by officers from Scotland Yard's extradition unit, on a European Arrest Warrant.

Rapper Trick Daddy arrested in Florida on cocaine, gun charges

Broward Sheriff's Office photo of Maurice Young, also known as rapper Trick DaddyPolice arrested rapper Trick Daddy and charged him with cocaine and gun possession after a stakeout at his south Florida home on suspicion he was running a an indoor marijuana farm, according to a police affidavit. A report by the Broward Sheriff's Office said the rapper, whose real name is Maurice Young, was arrested on Thursday. If convicted, he faces at least three years in prison under Florida's mandatory minimum sentencing law. "He admitted that he just had powder cocaine in the residence and maybe marijuana roaches, but no grow house," according to the affidavit.

Bosnian officials have requested Radomir Susnjar's extradition following his arrest, the war crimes prosecutor's office said in a statement. Susnjar is suspected of taking part in the June 1992 "killing of 59 Muslim civilians, among them women and children", in the eastern town of Visegrad. The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia last year sentenced two Bosnian Serb paramilitaries for the same war crime.

The players named in a number of British media reports are club captain John Welsh, who was a pall-bearer at Preston legend Tom Finney's funeral last month, Keith Keane, Bailey Wright, David Buchanan, Ben Davies and Graham Cummins. Barnsley midfielder Stephen Dawson was also arrested and bailed, according to the reports.

A Mumbai court on Friday sentenced Vijay Jadhav, Kasim Bengali and Mohammed Salim Ansari to death, the first time capital punishment has been given for rape not involving the death of the victim. "There was no chance of reformation in these men and this sends a strong signal to society," special prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam told reporters outside the court. In the Mumbai case, four men were convicted last week of gang-raping the photojournalist, who was attacked in the early evening of August 22 while on an assignment with a male colleague at an abandoned textile mill. Three of them were given the death penalty because they had also been found guilty of raping another woman at the same location in July.
