'Catasaurus Rex,' A 21-lb Cat, Finds a Forever Home
Tuesday, Feb 18, 2014 09:56 AM PST
Pickles is not your ordinary pet. The ginormous cat measures 3 feet long and weighs in at over 20 pounds. Pickles can't exactly leap tall buildings with a single bound, but he can touch a countertop with his paws still on the floor. "He's so big that it's kind of a workout to pick him up," Emily Zervos told Barcroft TV of the cat. The YouTube channel uploaded a story on Pickles, which has been viewed almost 400,000 times since Friday. "He really doesn't know his size at all. He thinks he's just a little kitten still."

Colo. pot aids kids with seizures, worries doctors
Tuesday, Feb 18, 2014 06:47 AM PST
In this Feb. 7, 2014 photo, Matt Figi hugs and tickles his once severely-ill 7-year-old daughter Charlotte, as they wander around inside a greenhouse for a special strain of medical marijuana known as Charlotte's Web, which was named after the girl early in her treatment, in a remote spot in the mountains west of Colorado Springs, Colo. A few years ago, Charlotte's doctors were out of ideas to help her. Suffering from a rare disorder known as Dravet's syndrome, Charlotte had as many as 300 grand mal seizures a week, was confined to a wheelchair, went into repeated cardiac arrest and could barely speak. Now Charlotte is largely seizure-free, able to walk, talk and feed herself, with her parents attributing her dramatic improvement to this strain of medical cannabis. Rand Paul Thinks He's the Republican to Appeal to MinoritiesIn an interview with Politico released Tuesday morning, Republican Sen. Rand Paul is about as forthright as he's been about wanting to run for president in 2016. "The country's a mess, and I think there needs to be a program that Republicans put forward, and also there needs to be a messenger who can actually win," he told Politico, which caught up with him on a political swing through Texas earlier this month. "And I'm concerned that if we put forward the same sort of candidate again, that we won't be successful." The candidate Republicans need, Paul reasons, is Paul. While Paul's buddy in the Senate, Ted Cruz, has completely derailed immigration reform, Paul is willing to address it.
