Meanwhile, rain will persist to the north of frontal boundaries extending from the Midwest through the Mid-Atlantic. Finally, chances of wintry weather are expected in parts of the Northeast. A moderately strong storm will move through the Northeast Tuesday, producing more rain from Ohio through New England. The heaviest of this rain will likely move from Ohio very early in the morning to New York and Massachusetts into the afternoon. By the end of the day, the storm will be far enough off the coast and into the Atlantic Ocean that most of its associated rain will have diminished. The associated cold front will drape across the Appalachians, where it will provide mainly light to moderate rain in Kentucky, West Virginia, and Virginia.

Reuters - OKLAHOMA CITY (Reuters) - A tornado hit a small Oklahoma town on Monday, knocking out power to the community of 1,000 residents and damaging a farm just two weeks after a tornado elsewhere in the state killed at least six people, the National Weather Service said. Kenya Q1 tea output falls 15 pct on extreme weather

Workers pick tea at a plantation outside KerichoNAIROBI (Reuters) - Kenya's tea production for the first three months of this year fell 15 percent to 72 million kg compared with the same period in 2011, hurt by extreme weather conditions, the Tea Board of Kenya said on Friday "The fall is mostly weather related. The drought was quite severe this time around. Initially there were cases of frost and we had about 3,000 hectares under attack," Sicily Kariuki, the board's managing director, told Reuters. Kenya is the world's leading exporter of black tea, and the commodity is its tope foreign exchange earner.
