A 19-year-old Temecula college freshman was taken into custody Thursday on federal charges he "sextorted" newly crowned Miss Teen USA and other young women around the world by hijacking their computer's webcams to capture naked images.        

L.A. Unified reports 71 iPads are missing

The lost iPads are from a trial program last year, the district says. L.A. Unified officials say security is being tightened and that student hacking is also being addressed. Los Angeles school district officials are trying to track down 71 missing iPads — including 69 from one campus — but said Thursday that new security measures are designed to frustrate future thefts.
