Russian pro-, anti-gay activists arrested after defying ban  Saturday, May 25, 2013 07:50 AM PDT By Jason Bush MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian police detained around 30 pro- and anti-gay activists in central Moscow on Saturday, imposing the city's ban on gay rights demonstrations. The arrests, underlining Russia's tough response to public demonstrations by gay groups, coincided with the first ever gay rally in neighboring Ukraine, which was allowed by the authorities and protected by the police. 'Friend' of suspect in UK slaying arrested  Saturday, May 25, 2013 04:11 AM PDT LONDON (AP) — Counterterrorism police on Saturday were questioning a friend of Michael Adebolajo, one of two suspects in the savage killing of a British soldier. Cricket-IPL's Chennai official arrested in spot-fixing scandal  Saturday, May 25, 2013 12:29 AM PDT NEW DELHI, May 25 (Reuters) - Mumbai Police apprehended a key official of the Indian Premier League's (IPL) Chennai franchise late on Friday in connection with a spot-fixing scandal that has also led to the arrest of three cricketers. Former India test bowler Shanthakumaran Sreesanth and two other local cricketers were arrested last week on suspicion of taking money to concede a fixed number of runs and police have intensified investigations to discover the extent of the scandal. ...
