Obama talks climate, regaining House for Democrats, at fundraisers  Wednesday, Apr 03, 2013 09:15 PM PDT By Jeff Mason SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - President Barack Obama used a set of fundraisers on Wednesday to assuage supporters' concerns about a controversial pipeline and his commitment to climate change, while urging them to drive Republicans out of power in Congress in 2014. The Obama administration is expected to decide later this year whether to approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, which would run from Canada's oil sands to Texas. Kenya's February tea output up 109 pct yr/yr, exports fall  Wednesday, Apr 03, 2013 09:12 AM PDT NAIROBI (Reuters) - Kenya's tea output jumped 109 percent to 38.5 million kg in February compared with the same period last year, due to favourable weather conditions, the regulatory tea board said on Wednesday. Kenya, east Africa's largest economy, is the world's top exporter of black tea, which is a major source of foreign exchange, earning it 112 billion shillings last year. But tea exports from east Africa's biggest economy fell to 42.9 million kg compared with 44.7 million in February 2012 on lower demand, the Tea Board said in a statement. ... Full Story	Top
UK gas prices firm slightly on cold weather, low stocks  Wednesday, Apr 03, 2013 02:47 AM PDT LONDON (Reuters) - British spot gas prices rose slightly on Wednesday morning as cold weather and low storage kept the system tight although supply from liquefied natural gas (LNG) helped meet high demand. Gas prices for delivery within the day were trading at 79.05 pence per therm at 0940 GMT, up two pence from the previous morning, and prices for delivery the next day were up 1.25 pence since Tuesday at 79.25 pence a therm. The slight rise followed a sharp drop on Tuesday, and analysts said the uptick was the result of rising demand and lower supplies from Norway and continental Europe. ... Full Story	Top
