One of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives was arrested Thursday in Mexico and will be returned to Los Angeles to face charges of murder, kidnapping and rape, U.S. officials said.

LYON, France (Reuters) - Former tennis coach Regis de Camaret was sentenced to eight years in prison on Friday for raping two young female players aged 12 and 13, a Lyon court said. De Camaret, who is now 70, was the coach of former Wimbledon runner-up Nathalie Tauziat and ex-French number two Isabelle Demongeot, who alleged he had raped her. Some 20 of his former pupils have accused him of rape, attempted rape or fondling between 1977 and 1989. The statute of limitations had run out on all but two, who accused De Camaret of rape or attempted rape. ...

Circus owner found guilty of elephant cruelty

LONDON (Reuters) - A British circus owner was given a conditional discharge on Friday for causing unnecessary suffering to an Asian elephant by keeping her chained up and allowing a handler to beat her. Bobby Roberts, 69, was convicted of three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal. Northampton Crown Court heard that Anne, an arthritic, 58-year-old elephant was kept tethered to the ground by one front leg and one back leg at all times. Roberts failed to give Anne her arthritis medicine and to prevent a handler from repeatedly beating the animal. ...
