More than two dozen arrested in Kentucky's Final Four celebration

Reuters - (Reuters) - More than two dozen people faced criminal charges on Sunday after violence broke out as fans celebrated the University of Kentucky's win over arch rival Louisville in their NCAA Final Four match-up, officials said. Thousands of fans filled the streets of Lexington downtown and near the campus Saturday night following Kentucky's defeat of Louisville 69-61 in New Orleans, but the party was marred by violence, authorities said. Qatar: Iraq's fugitive VP arrives for visit

Associated Press -  Fugitive Iraqi Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi traveled to Qatar on Sunday on what the Gulf nation's state news agency called an "official visit." The trip could intensify tensions between Baghdad's Shiite-led government and the Sunni monarchies of the Gulf.

Reuters -  BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq's fugitive Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, at the centre of a political row that has jeopardized Iraq's sectarian balance, left the autonomous northern Kurdish region for Qatar on Sunday, a statement from his office said. Hashemi, one of the top politicians from the Sunni minority, is accused by Baghdad's Shi'ite-led government of running death squads, a charge he denies.
