Bushnell approves tax levy

The Bushnell City Council approved a $161,000 tax levy for 2011-12 during a regular meeting Monday night at Bushnell City Hall. The levy represents a 3.9 percent increase over the 2010-11 levy, but city treasurer Daniel Cortelyou said the final increase will be about one-and-a-half percent due the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law.
