Australian billionaire Packer in Bondi Beach street brawl with best man : reports Sunday, May 04, 2014 07:01 PM PDT By Matt Siegel SYDNEY (Reuters) - Billionaire Australian gaming mogul James Packer was seen brawling on a Bondi Beach street with a fellow businessman David Gyngell, a life-long friend, former best man and chief executive of the Nine Entertainment Group, media reported on Monday. At least 50 photos of Packer, owner of Australia's Crown Resorts Ltd, and Gyngell viciously fighting outside Packer's home on Sunday are circulating for sale, the Sydney Morning Herald said. A Facebook page purportedly belonging to a neighbor of Packer's, whose name is given as Chris Walker, provided an unconfirmed but detailed report of the fight. "Holy crap, big street fight outside my house ... Not thugs, James Packer ... And some other angry bloke going toe to toe - total brawl .. Wow," he wrote on the social networking site. Naked Oregon man doing push-ups in road struck by car, killed Sunday, May 04, 2014 03:45 PM PDT A naked man who had been running and doing push-ups in a Portland street was struck by a car and killed early on Sunday, police said. Portland police said they received two phone calls about the man in a street in an industrial area of north Portland but the man was killed before they arrived at the scene. Teen who survived flight in wheel well back in California: report Sunday, May 04, 2014 01:29 PM PDT (Reuters) - A 15-year-old Somali boy who survived a nearly six-hour flight stowed in the wheel well of a Hawaii-bound jet has been returned to California and placed in the custody of social services, the San Jose Mercury News reported. The teen was transferred back to Santa Clara, California, without his father, who has not been allowed to see his son since the teen stowed away to Hawaii on April 20, the newspaper said on Saturday. In a statement after his son ran away, father Abdilahi Yusuf Abdi said the boy had been "struggling adjusting to life" in America. The Department of Family and Children's Services in Santa Clara County did not immediately respond on Sunday to Reuters' request for comment about the teen's custody status. Full Story | Top |
