| Egypt's top TV satirist back on air, pokes fun at all political camps Friday, Oct 25, 2013 07:08 PM PDT  CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt's most prominent television satirist, Bassem Youssef, known for his fierce jabs at ousted Islamist president Mohamed Mursi, returned to the airwaves on Friday following a summer break, poking equal fun at the fan frenzy surrounding Egypt's defense minister that has gripped the nation in recent months. Youssef rose to fame with a satirical online show after the uprising that swept Hosni Mubarak from power in 2011. | Augusto Odone, maker of "Lorenzo's Oil," dies Friday, Oct 25, 2013 01:31 PM PDT ROME (Reuters) - Augusto Odone, whose invention of "Lorenzo's Oil" to prolong the life of his son was made into an Oscar-nominated film, has died at the age of 80 in Italy, his family said on Friday. He died on Thursday in the northern Piedmont region where he was born in 1933 and from where he left for America as a young man. A former World Bank economist, Odone and his wife Michaela refused to accept the medical prognosis that their six-year-old son Lorenzo had only a few years to live after being diagnosed with Adrenoleukodystrophy, or ALD, which destroys the brain cells of children. ... Baker (Reuters) - Comcast Corp customers will soon be able to buy premium movie and TV channel HBO and its HBO Go online service in a pared-down basic cable package that includes about 10 channels plus Internet access, for an introductory price of about $50 a month. The new offer, which is publicized on Comcast's website, is a chance for Time Warner-owned HBO to reach subscribers who felt they could not afford the channel before. Bloom, 36, who is starring in a modern-day version of "Romeo and Juliet" on Broadway, and Kerr, 30, said they have been amicably separated for the past few months. The couple began dating in 2007, married in July 2010 and has a 2-year-old son, Flynn.
