BP had balked at funding the third-quarter operating budget for the administrator, Louisiana lawyer Patrick Juneau, complaining that his bill contained "excessive costs." Array says Amgen ends agreement, to cut 20 percent jobs

(Reuters) - Array Biopharma said it would cut 20 percent of its workforce as Amgen Inc plans to end an agreement to develop and market Array's drug to treat Type 2 diabetes. Array shares fell as much as 7 percent to $6.12 in trading after the bell. The company said it would record a one-time restructuring charge of $2.7 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2014. The company said it would have 200 employees after cutting 50 jobs. Most of the job cuts will be in the company's drug discovery business. ...

Husky Energy may revamp Ohio refinery for some Canadian heavy crude

By Kristen Hays HOUSTON (Reuters) - Husky Energy is considering a revamp of its Lima, Ohio, refinery to process up to 40,000 barrels per day of Canadian heavy crude, a spokesman said on Wednesday. Canada's No. 3 integrated oil company has sanctioned preliminary engineering design for the project in the third quarter this year that, if approved, would revamp existing process units and add new equipment to handle heavy crude by 2017 at the 155,000 bpd plant. The refinery now processes light-sweet crude, and it would maintain that capability, spokesman Mel Duvall said. ...

Canada floods dampen Clean Harbors full-year outlook

(Reuters) - Environmental clean-up company Clean Harbors Inc cut its core earnings and revenue forecast for the year after flooding in western Canada reduced drilling activity in the region, sending its shares down 8 percent in trading before the bell. Record floods in June wreaked havoc in Alberta, home to many of Canada's oil companies.
