While gold is hugely popular as a safe haven and a status symbol - China is set to overtake India as the world's biggest gold consumer this year - shoppers at an Apple store in Beijing weren't all convinced it should be coupled with that pinnacle of mobile gadgetry. Former United Airlines attendant sent bomb threats to carrier  Wednesday, Aug 21, 2013 03:32 PM PDT (Reuters) - A former United Airlines flight attendant made repeated bomb threats against his former employer, mostly by calling 911 from pay phones, according to a plea agreement reached with federal prosecutors in California. Prosecutors said that Patrick Cau, who was fired from United two years ago after 16 years with the company, has admitted to making eight separate bomb threats targeting United flights, starting last October and continuing for four months. Charleroi player seeks damages over "fat as a pig" insult  Wednesday, Aug 21, 2013 08:24 AM PDT BRUSSELS (Reuters) - A soccer player in Belgium has demanded a public apology and damages from a television commentator who described him as being "fat as a pig". Charleroi issued a statement on behalf of striker Harlem Gnohere, commonly known as "Bison", saying TV presenter Stephane Pauwels had contacted the club to offer his apologies. Pauwels told viewers during Charleroi's 2-1 defeat by KV Kortrijk on Saturday: "Bison is fat as a pig. He is 15 kilograms too heavy and he's going nowhere. ... Full Story	Top
