March 30 (The Sports Xchange) - The Miami Dolphins have agreed to a one-year, $5.5 million contract with free agent cornerback Brent Grimes. NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk reported that $3 million of the deal is guaranteed to the former Atlanta Falcon. "It seemed like a great opportunity and they stressed they wanted me here," Grimes told the media. Grimes, who was a Pro Bowler in 2010 and has 13 interceptions in his six-year NFL career, tore an Achilles tendon in last year's season opener. He made $10 million in 2012. March 30 (The Sports Xchange) - For the second time in 2 1/2 years, New York Mets left-hander Johan Santana will have surgery to repair a torn anterior capsule in his left shoulder that will prevent him from pitching this season, ESPN New York reported on Saturday. Team doctor David Altchek will perform the surgery. He also operated on Santana's shoulder in September 2010. It took Santana more than 1 1/2 years to recover the first time.
