Seattle city council votes to back NBA arena plan

Reuters -  OLYMPIA, Washington (Reuters) - The Seattle City Council on Monday voted 6-2 in favor of an arena financing deal with hedge fund manager and aspiring NBA franchise owner Chris Hansen that aims to lure the NBA back to the city. The Pacific Northwest city lost the Seattle SuperSonics to Oklahoma City in 2008, where the team was renamed the Thunder, after the owner faulted city officials for not coming up with a plan to build a new arena. ...

He was diagnosed with ocular keratitis, a condition that impacts the cornea and the vision, which was caused by Hamilton having too much caffeine, energy drinks and medications for other ailments, according to a report on the team's website. In an interview with Reuters in Madrid, the 11-times grand slam singles champion said he was still feeling some pain in his left knee and would only return to the court when that was no longer the case. Denver coaches fined by NFL for verbally abusing officials

Reuters - (Reuters) - The National Football League (NFL) fined Denver Broncos head coach John Fox and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio a combined $55,000 on Monday for verbally abusing replacement officials last week. Fox was fined $30,000 and Del Rio $25,000 for abusing game officials during last Monday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, which included lengthy delays and needed more than an hour to play the first quarter.
