Reuters - ABIDJAN (Reuters) - Ghana has arrested a top ally of Ivory Coast's former President Laurent Gbagbo after weeks of deadly attacks on Ivorian police and military installations, officials from the two neighboring West African countries said on Saturday. Reuters - PHOENIX (Reuters) - Former Chicago Cubs standout Mark Grace, a three-time Major League Baseball All-Star selection, was arrested in Arizona for driving under the influence, police said on Friday. Police said Grace, who was pulled over on Thursday night in Scottsdale just outside Phoenix, was driving with a suspended license stemming from a prior driving under the influence arrest in the same town in May 2011. Reuters - PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - The former chief financial officer of the Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia was sentenced on Friday to two to seven years in prison for stealing more than $900,000 from the church. After she serves her prison term, Anita Guzzardi, 43, of Camden County, New Jersey, will remain on probation for seven years, Common Pleas Court Judge Ellen Ceisler said at the sentencing. Reports: Former Ambassador Crocker Arrested for Drunken Driving, Hit-and-Run

National Journal - The former American ambassador to Afghanistan, Ryan Crocker, has been charged with drunken driving and for being responsible for a hit and run incident in Washington state, CNN and other news organizations report. He was arrested Aug. 14 in Spokane after his car struck a semi-truck when he tried to make a right turn from a left lane, authorities told the Associated Press. He was released on his own recognizance the next day after pleading not guilty. His next court date is set for Sept. 12. Full Story
