Head on collision sends three to the hospital

DPS Troopers are investigating a head on collision that happened in Slaton Saturday evening. The accident happened on Highway 84 and South FM 400 just after 8PM. Troopers are still trying to figure out a cause, but says one of the drivers, Joel Alvarado, was airlifted by Aerocare to UMC. Two other people in the other vehicle involved, were taken to Covenant Hospital by ambulance. |

Doctors in Peru have found a "parasitic twin" in the stomach of a 3-year-old boy, and plan to surgically remove the tissue Monday.
